The Ottawa Fertility Centre achieves pregnancy rates that are consistently higher than the Canadian average. In Canada, results of IVF treatment cycles are collected by the Canadian Assisted Reproductive Technologies Register (CARTR). In the 2006 CARTR report, the Ottawa Fertility Centre's pregnancy rates were well above the national average, both for all women treated and for standardized, 'optimal case' patients.

At the Ottawa Fertility Centre, we continuously analyze our own success rates to identify trends important to the care of our patients. In 2009, 92.4% of cycles proceeded to egg retrieval.

We maintain our success rates while transferring fewer embryos per attempt than the national average. This way, we maximize patient safety by reducing the chance of high order (triplet or more) multiple pregnancy. In 2009, the high order multiple pregnancy rate at the OFC was 2.0%.
