Dr. Matt Roberts

Dr. Roberts received his Bachelor of Science degree from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, and earned his MD degree from the University of Toronto. He completed his residency in Urology at the University of Ottawa. Following this, Dr. Roberts pursued a 2-year fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital and the University of Toronto under the supervision of Drs. Keith Jarvi, Kirk Lo, and Ethan Grober. Concurrently, he completed his Masters of Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University in Toronto, with a specialization in medical and surgical education.

Dr. Roberts is currently an Assistant Professor in the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery, at the University of Ottawa. He is an attending physician at The Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus, and a consultant urologist at the Ottawa Fertility Centre.

Dr. Roberts has received extensive training in all aspects of male fertility and andrology, and is a highly-trained and experienced micro-surgeon. His current clinical interests centre on the evaluation and treatment of male infertility including microsurgical sperm retrieval, varicocelectomy, and microsurgical vasectomy reversal. His practice also focuses on andropause/testosterone deficiency and erectile dysfunction in addition to general urology.

Dr. Roberts' currently focuses his research interests on clinical male fertility and surgical education and has authored several scientific articles and book chapters in these fields.
